A person named Fuad Ahmed Murad has been arrested in Rajnagar police station area of Moulvibazar district on charges of making fake seals and forging signatures.
On Wednesday (May 24), he was arrested from a shop called Model Library and Computers in Rajnagar Bazar under Rajnagar Police Station.
Rajnagar Thana Police raided the shop owned by Model Library and Computers in Rajnagar Bazar on Wednesday afternoon based on secret information.
By searching the shop, 06 fake seals in the name of various doctors, settlement officers, officials of government institutions and teachers of various educational institutions were seized.
The officer in charge of Rajnagar Police Station said, “Fuad Ahmed Murad of Rajnagar Bazar has been attesting himself with false signatures by putting fake seals on the certificates along with the applications of various service candidates. Based on this complaint, the police raided his shop and recovered 06 fake seals. Accused Fuad initially confessed to making fake seals and signing these seals himself.”
A case under section 468/471/420/197 of the Penal Code has been registered against the detained person for the offense of forgery by keeping forged seal in custody.
