CDC Organizes International Seminar

An international seminar on “Time SSD & GPD Software from Romania for Garments Industry” has been organized by Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) today on 18July 2018 in collaboration with Time SSD of Romania. Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University (DIU) was present in the seminar as the Chief Guest. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Laszlo Szabo, Managing Director, Time SSD and Mr. Bela Marthi, Industrial Engineering Consultant, Time SSD, Romania.

The seminar was also addressed by Mr. Abu Taher Khan, Director, Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil Intenational University, Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Assistant Professor (Textile Engineering), Mr. Mohammad Abdul Baset, Assistant professor (Textile Engineering); Mr. Manan Binte Taj Noor, Lecturer (SWE); Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Lecturer (SWE), Mr. Sheikh Abujar, Lecturer (CSE), Mr. Faysal Chowdhury, Lecturer (CSE), Mr. Md. Shamsud Doha, Assistant Director of CDC. A total of 110 students of Textile Engineering & Software Engineering Department of Daffodil International University took part in the seminar.

While conducting the seminar Mr. Laszlo Szabo, Managing Director, Time SSD said that SSD-5 software represents the fifth generation of the SSD product family. Since the year 1982, it was continuously developed standard data systems on computers for the sewing industry and for other labour-intensive industries, this tradition is continued from 2016 under the new name GPD by DataS. There are more than 500 SSD clients in more than 50 countries.
He also said that SSD-5 System consists of Computer programs and SSD-5 Database including standard data element sets with predetermined time values and GPD – the software solution to increase the operating and manufacturing performance and also provides the key performance indicators (KPI) and metrics necessary for the better operating performances.
