 A police officer suffered a fatal heart attack while on duty Monday morning, March 16.

Mosharraf Hossain Dulal, 59, of the Shayestaganj Traffic Division, experienced chest pain around 8:00 a.m. while patrolling te Daudnagar area Shayestaganj. He was immediately rushed to the Habiganj District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Dulal, originally from Vangura Borobari in Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria, is survived by one son and three daughters. He was scheduled to retire in six months and had previously served for many years at Habiganj Court.

The incident was confirmed by Md. Abdur Noor, Inspector (Administration) of the district traffic division. Following a brief funeral at Habiganj Police Lines around 2:30 p.m., the body was handed over to the family.
