Health Directorate directs 6 govt hospitals to treat patients referred from Ad-Din Hospital

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has instructed six government hospitals in the capital to ensure prompt and proper treatment for patients referred from Ad-Din Women’s Medical College Hospital, following the cancellation of its licence.
The directive was issued on Friday (June 12) in a letter signed by Dr Abu Hossain Md Moinul Ahsan, Director of Hospitals and Clinics under the health directorate.
According to the directive, the licence of Ad-Din Women’s Medical College Hospital, located at 2, Moghbazar in Dhaka, was cancelled on June 11. In light of this decision, authorities have instructed concerned government hospitals to provide immediate medical care so that referred patients do not suffer any treatment disruption.
The six government hospitals assigned for this responsibility are Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, Mugda Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, and Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute.
The directive also stated that the order has been approved by the Director General of the Health Directorate.
