Radha Ashtami festival, one of the most important and auspicious festival of Hindus, was celebrated in Sreemangal and Habiganj with fervour and gaiety on yesterday
Wednesday 11 September- 2024.

Many devotees from various areas of Sreemangal upazila gathered and Prayed at the temple of Sree Sree Jagannath Dev wuth great enthusiasm.

Earlier , a Mongol Shovajatra, a mass Peocession was brought out from the temple
Premises and paraded various areas of the Upazila On Wednesday Morning, Habiganj, Bahubal Bargaon Sri Sri Sachimata Smrititirth Anand Dham Principal, Shri Sarveswara Govinda Das Brahmachari discussed the Bhagavata among the devotees.

happiness, health, and prosperity on the occasion.

To mention , this day is purely dedicated to the Goddess Radha Rani.This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Radha Rani. Radha Rani was born on Ashtami Tithi of
Shukla paksha in the month of Bhadra.

Like all over the country, the day was celebrated with proper joy and enthusiasm at ISKCON festivals in Sylhet Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Sreemangal and Sylhet tea gardens.

Radhasthami is celebrated exactly 15 days after Krishna Janmashtami. On August 26, Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated across the country. Sri Radhika’s birth anniversary is being celebrated today. According to the calendar, Radhasthami is celebrated every year on the Ashtami tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadra month. After Krishna Janmashtami, Radhasthami is also celebrated with great pomp across the country. Especially in Balsana, Mathura and Vrindavan the craze for Radhastami is visible. Those who observe Radhashtami fast all day and Puja Radha Krishna.
