Gopendra Kumar Das, a well-known businessman of Sreemangal upazila in
Moulvibazar district,passed away on Saturday while undergoing
treatment at Dhaka’s BIRDEM hospital. He was 89 years old at the time of his death. He had been suffering from age-related problems including heart
disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, weak heartbeat,
kidney problems, anemia, and a fungal infection in his right toe.
He is survived by a son, five daughters, grandsons and granddaughters as well as a lot of well wishers. During his lifetime, he was involved in numerous
social and humanitarian organizations. Various social and cultural organizations expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family, wishing for the
eternal peace for his departed soul.
