Md. Sarwar Alam has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Sylhet.
The notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday, August 18. The notification was issued by the Field Administration-2 branch of the Ministry of Public Administration.
The notification said that BCS (Administration) cadre officer Sarwar Alam has been transferred and posted as the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Sylhet district.
Sarwar Alam had earlier come under discussion in the mobile court for corruption, anti-adulteration campaign and responsible activities.
The notification also said that this order issued in the public interest will come into effect immediately. Sarwar Alam is currently serving as the Senior Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment.
