Sylhet’s well-known young face Dipongkor Das Deep has died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Malaysia early Wednesday (November 12). He was admired for his cheerful personality and his ability to spread positivity among the youth.

Family members said Dipongkor had recently gone to Malaysia for higher studies. On Tuesday night around midnight, he suddenly complained of severe chest pain and was rushed to a local hospital. Doctors tried to save him, but he passed away around 5am.

The 24-year-old from Gopaltila in Sylhet city was originally from Mondolkapon Potijuri village under Bahubal upazila in Habiganj district. He was the elder son of Dibyajit Das and Sushmita Das, and the elder brother of Dibakor Das Dhrubo.

Dipongkor was widely known among Sylhet’s youth for his lively nature, humor, and positive outlook on life. His videos and messages often focused on family values and spreading kindness, earning him a large following both at home and abroad.

News of his sudden death has cast a shadow of grief across Sylhet’s youth circles. Friends, students, and cultural groups expressed deep shock on social media, remembering him as a bright and inspiring young man.

“Deep’s smile brought happiness to so many,” one of his friends wrote. “He left too soon, but his joy will live on in everyone he touched.”
