All categories of fuel in Bangladesh will become costlier from December as the government has increased prices by Tk 2 per litre under a fresh adjustment.
Diesel, petrol, octane and kerosene will each see a uniform rise of Tk 2 per litre, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources said in a press release issued on Sunday night.
The new rates will come into effect from Monday, December 1.
Under the revised pricing, diesel will increase from Tk 102 to Tk 104 per litre. Octane will go up from Tk 122 to Tk 124, petrol from Tk 118 to Tk 120, and kerosene from Tk 114 to Tk 116.
According to the ministry, the adjustment has been made in line with fluctuations in international fuel prices. The revised rates will remain in force throughout December.
