The railway police have arrested three robbers from the roof of the Dhaka-bound Upaban Express train in Shayestaganj. When the train slowed down, they would put their hands inside the window and rob passengers of their mobile phones, money and gold ornaments.
The arrested are Md. Ruhul Amin (26), Md. Sohag (22) and Md. Hossain (18).
PPM SI Md. Moniruzzaman of Shayestaganj Railway Police Station said that a case has been registered under Section 402 of the Penal Code 1860 and the case has been filed in the Habiganj court today (September 29). The police said that such operations will continue to ensure the safety of passengers.
