An elderly woman died after being run over by a train in Madhabpur Upazila of Habiganj. The woman, Sandhya Rani (65), lost her life after being run over by a train in Noapara area on Saturday (September 28) at 11 am. She is a resident of Surabari Dewan Market area of Gazipur.
Police said that Sandhya Rani’s father is Gopal Morari and mother is Kamala Murari, husband is Jadu Chandra Murari. Police recovered the body from the spot and brought it to Shayestaganj Railway Police Station.
PPM SI Md. Moniruzzaman of Shayestaganj Railway Police Station confirmed the death. He said that the body has been handed over to the family after completing the legal process. An accidental death case No. 25/25, dated 28/09/2025, has been registered at Railway Police Station in this incident.
