A farmers’ meeting on Lal Teer Seed Company Limited’s newly introduced high-yield paddy seed ‘Super-60’ was held this afternoon (October 19) at Snanghat Bazar under Snanghat Union of Bahubal Upazila, Habiganj.

The event took place at the premises of Messrs. Chowdhury Traders, a local retailer of Lal Teer Seed Company, owned by Abdul Motabbir Chowdhury Faruk, who presided over the meeting.

Tapas Chakraborty, Divisional Manager of Lal Teer Company Limited, attended the event as the chief guest.

Among others present were Khandaker Fazlu Mia (Lakhai), Proprietor of Khandaker Traders (dealer of Lal Teer Company); Golam Azam, Regional Manager and Agriculturist; Md. Sohel Rana, Territory Manager; and Md. Sarwar Hossain, Accounts and Finance Manager.

Local farmers, paddy traders, and seed retailers also took part in the gathering.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the features and benefits of the new Super-60 paddy seed.

Chief guest Tapas Chakraborty said:
“Super-60 ripens early, allowing farmers to harvest before floods or adverse weather conditions begin. The plant’s stem is strong, preventing it from lodging. The rice is fluffy and tasty when cooked.”

He further mentioned that the crop’s life cycle ranges from 140 to 145 days, and its yield potential is 120 to 125 maunds per acre.

Speakers at the event highlighted that Lal Teer Seed Company continues to stand beside farmers, delivering quality seeds and modern solutions across Bangladesh. They expressed optimism that Super-60 would open a new horizon for local farmers by ensuring higher yields and better resilience against changing weather patterns.

Presiding over the session, Abdul Motabbir Chowdhury Faruk appreciated Lal Teer Seed Company’s continued commitment to farmers’ welfare.

In his concluding remarks, Divisional Manager Tapas Chakraborty said:
