The Sylhet leg of this season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 cricket ends on Tuesday (January 12). After a few days of intense excitement, the curtain is coming down on the BPL matches held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today with the last match.
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 cricket tournament was inaugurated on Friday, December 26, 2025 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Due to the decision of the BCB, the BPL legs of Chittagong are being held in Sylhet and are ending today.
Several exciting matches were held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in this season of BPL. The spectators got a full package of entertainment through incidents like dramatic wins, centuries and hat-tricks. Along with local cricket fans, a large number of spectators from the surrounding districts also came to the stadium to enjoy the game.
The last match of the Sylhet phase will be held today. Sylhet and Rangpur will face each other at 1 pm and Dhaka-Rajshahi will face each other at 6 pm.
Even though the Sylhet phase is over, the heat of the BPL is not stopping. After Sylhet, the remaining matches of the tournament will be held in Dhaka as per the scheduled schedule. The competition between the teams to stay at the top of the points table will now become more intense. The BPL will return to the Dhaka field on January 15 after completing the Sylhet phase today.
