The Lions Club of Chittagong Karnaphuli Elite, an affiliate of the international service organization Lions International, District 315-B4, Bangladesh, organized a blanket distribution program among cold-stricken and underprivileged people in the Roufabad area of the port city Chattogram.
The humanitarian initiative was held on Saturday under the patronage of the Renuprava–Priyaranjan Foundation, in cooperation with Roufabad Tarun Sangha. The program was presided over by Ln. Md. Nurul Akbar Kajal, President of the Lions Club of Chittagong Karnaphuli Elite, while the proceedings were conducted by Ln. Ujjal Kanti Barua, Club Secretary. Ln. Md.
Mezbah Uddin, District Chairperson of Lions International, Dist. 315-B4 Bangladesh, attended the program as the chief guest.
Among others, Ln. Md. Kamal Hossain, Secretary of Lions Club Progressive Star, and Ln. Suman Barua addressed the gathering. Leaders of Roufabad Tarun Sangha, including Adviser Biswajit Chakraborty, President Al Mamun, General Secretary Md. Jamal Uddin, Treasurer Shah Alam Monu, and Education and Cultural Secretary Md. Ruhul Amin, were also present.
The event was attended by Leo District Treasurer Leo Hossain Md. Imran Nixon, President of Leo Club of Chittagong Karnaphuli Elite Leo Miraj Hossain, Prayash Barua, along with local dignitaries and community representatives.
Speakers urged Lions leaders and affluent members of society to come forward in supporting the cold-affected and less fortunate people, emphasizing that such initiatives reflect the true spirit of humanity, compassion, and social responsibility.
