The regular meeting of Lions Club of Chittagong Karnaphuli Elite, an affiliate of the international service organization Lions International, District 315-B4 Bangladesh, was held on Tuesday, 17 February, at a restaurant in Chattogram city.
The meeting was graced by the presence of the Past District Governor of Lions District 315-B4 Bangladesh, Ln. S. M. Shamsuddin, MJF, as the chief guest.
The meeting was presided over by Club President Ln. Md. Nurul Akbar Kajal, while Ln. Ujjal Kanti Barua, Club Secretary, conducted the proceedings. Among others, the speakers included Ln. AKM Shawkat Hasan Khan, Ln. Iftekhar Hossain Khan Chowdhury, MJF, Ln. Rokeya Haque, Ln. Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Ln. Ekramul Haque Bhuiyan, Ln. Md. Jillur Rahman, MJF, Ln. Md. Musa, MJF, Ln. Lokopriya Barua, MJF, Ln. Md. Habibur Rahman, Ln. Shovit Bikash Barua, FCMA, Ln. Md. Zahed Hossain, Ln. Md. Soaib, Ln. Anwara Begum, Ln. Kunal Kanti Barua, and Ln. Mithun Barua, Leo Md. Imran Nixon, Leo Ekhlas Uddin Akil, Leo Tawhid Hasan Rihab, and Leo Abdullah Jaher Najib were also present at the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Lion S. M. Shamsuddin stated that Lionism is a unique philosophy dedicated to the service of humanity, consistently working alongside the underprivileged segments of society. He highly appreciated the active role and service initiatives of the Lions Club of Chittagong Karnaphuli Elite within the humanitarian programs of Lions International.
He further urged the members to strengthen unity, discipline, and regular activities to make the club more dynamic and effective. Expressing optimism, he hoped that the club would continue its forward journey in serving humanity in the days ahead.
