Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Zahirul Islam, who was serving in Bahubal Circle of Habiganj, has been withdrawn from his current post and attached to the Police Special Training School (PSTS) in Betbunia, Rangamati.
According to an order issued by Bangladesh Police Headquarters on March 4, the attachment of the officer to Bahubal Circle has been cancelled and he has been reassigned to the PSTS in Betbunia.
The order instructed the officer to join his new place of posting by March 5.
The directive was signed by Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Khandaker Shamima Yasmin on behalf of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir.
When contacted, Habiganj Superintendent of Police Mosammat Yasmin Khatun said the move was an administrative matter. She added that police officials can be transferred or reassigned at any time as part of administrative requirements.
