The officer-in-charge (OC) of Airport Police Station has been closed and attached to police lines following multiple অভিযোগs and allegations of negligence in duty.

According to sources, on February 8, Rezaul Hasan Qayes Lodi, chief election agent of BNP leader Khondkar Abdul Muktadir in the Sylhet-1 constituency, submitted a written complaint to the Sylhet deputy commissioner and the SMP commissioner. The complaint alleged harassment of BNP activists and supporters following the start of formal election campaigning, claiming it disrupted normal campaign activities.
The OC also faced criticism after a daylight snatching incident in the city’s Housing Estate area on February 24. CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media, but police had yet to make any arrests in connection with the case.
In light of the complaints and recent developments, authorities decided to withdraw him from his position, officials said.
