The annual general meeting of the Shree Shree Sachchi Angan Dham Seva Trust was held on Friday morning at the dham premises in Joypur village under Bahubal upazila of Habiganj, where several key decisions were adopted to strengthen the institution’s administrative and service-oriented activities.
The meeting, chaired by Kandarpa Bijoy Bonik Mihir, began at 10:30am and focused on the overall development of the dham, expansion of religious and humanitarian services, and enhancement of organisational efficiency.
According to decisions taken at the meeting, a new seven-member Board of Trustees will be formed in line with amendments to the trust constitution. It was also resolved that the names of deceased members would be removed from the official membership list.
During the session, the editorial report for the previous year was presented, while the financial statements and audit reports covering the last three years were unanimously approved by the members present.
The meeting also discussed future development plans for the dham, including expanding devotee services and strengthening religious activities.
A seven-member trustee board for the upcoming term was announced, with noted gynaecologist Dr Nibash Chandra Paul appointed as chairman and Shree Randhir Chakraborty as secretary. Other members of the board include Advocate Sudip Kanti Biswas Sajal, Shree Kajal Kar, Bishwanath Bhattacharjee, Swapan Dev and Sujit Kumar Chowdhury.
The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Gita by Bijoy Dev.
Among those present were former director of the Directorate General of Health Services Dr Satyakam Chakraborty, temple management committee general secretary Paritosh Bonik, industrialist Shree Anjan Bonik, Advocate Dipak Chakraborty, Dipshikha Dhar, Padmaja Paul Chowdhury, Nihar Ranjan Dev, Biplob Bhattacharjee Rajib, Raju Dev, Nripesh Dev, Bishnu Dev Bishal, Sukesh Dev, Bhobesh Ghosh, Debesh Ghosh, Shree Dinabandhu Dev, Santosh Bonik, Debashish Chakraborty, Professor Protyush Dev, Rajat Dey, Mintu Chandra Dey, Monoj Paul, and former professor of Zahurchan Mohila College in Shayestaganj, Professor Bishwajit Paul, alongside a large number of devotees and local dignitaries.
In their concluding remarks, speakers expressed hope that the newly adopted decisions would help make the dham’s service activities more organised and dynamic, while also contributing significantly to the preservation and promotion of Sanatan religious heritage.
