December 25, 2025: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman attended a grand reception held at the 300-Foot area in Dhaka’s Purba Chala this afternoon, following his arrival from Sylhet. The event drew party leaders, activists, and members of the general public.
Speaking at the gathering, Tarique Rahman said,
“I have a well-structured plan to transform the lives of our people. For the development of the country and the establishment of democracy, we must unite the citizens.”
He recalled Bangladesh’s history of independence and democracy, citing the Liberation War of 1971 and the November 7, 1975 revolution.
“When the people stand united, the country can be protected from hostile forces. Our aim is to uphold the continuity of that history,” he added.
Addressing the younger generation, he cautioned,
“Conspiracies have not ceased. Everyone must remain patient and composed to maintain peace and security in the country.”
After the reception, Tarique Rahman visited Evercare Hospital to see his ailing mother and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. He appealed to the public for prayers for her recovery, as well as for the peace and security of the nation.
The 300-Foot reception centered on his commitment to the welfare of the people, the preservation of peace, and the strengthening of democratic principles in Bangladesh.
